I am pleased to announce the following board positions for nomination.
Field Manager. The Field Manager is responsible for coordinating the field preparation before each home game.
At-Large Member. All “At-Large” assist in areas deemed necessary by the BoD.
These positions will be appointed by the JHL Board of Directors. They are for a term of one year.
Nominations are due no later than June 16th, 2023.
An email was sent to all JHL members, and includes guidance on how to nominate.
Our friends at Gear Up will be arranging a fitting for football pants and other packaged Bedford gear. Each player is responsible for having black football pants when preseason begins in August.
You may order the Gear Up pants and accessories, though it is not required. Many players have pants or order them elsewhere.
There will be other opportunities before preseason to size and order.
4th and 1 Football Camp
JHL Parents and Players,
Bedford High School Head Football Coach Zach Matthews will be holding his 4th and 1 football camp this summer.
For the 3rd consecutive year, 4th and 1 will be offering camps related to both skills development and speed & agility.
Just as important, the mission of the 4th and 1 teaches valuable lessons:
Attitude and Effort are two attributes paramount to the success of a football team that don't require any talent.
Our philosophy is to teach the fundamental skills of the game in a positive, exciting and energetic atmosphere. Our goal is for each athlete to go home a better football player than when they arrived. Players will learn about more than just football at our camps. They are taught about the benefits of a positive attitude, giving maximum effort, being a great teammate, self-discipline and goal setting for the future.
Camps are local, being held at Bedford High School.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Renegade Movement and Performance.
Renegade Movement and Performance is a physical therapy and sports performance clinic located off Rt 3 just after Target in Bedford. We offer athlete-specific services for injury prevention & recovery (ACL and other ligament injuries, concussion, back and joint pain, etc) sports performance and conditioning (helping athletes get stronger & faster, have better reaction time, avoid injuries, get a leg up on their performance, and more), and rest & recovery services like dry needling, cupping, scraping, etc.
We provide our athletes with solutions for their aches and pains as well as strategies to help them avoid getting injured in the first place. We know that missing a day of practice or training isn’t a solution and we’re passionate about complementing their existing training schedule so they can keep doing whatever it is they normally do while adding in things that will help them become stronger and faster and fend off any unwanted injuries. Treatment will always be aligned with what the athlete needs and their current training schedule.

BEDFORD BULLDOGS JHL
Bedford Bulldogs huddle to hear college athletes talk about why they love football.
JHL Bedford Bulldogs
A GREAT SUCCESS
On May 15th, the JHL Bedford Bulldogs spent the afternoon with Bedford High School Head Coach Zach Matthews and several exceptional college football athletes, including Vanderbilt Safety Max Worship, Michigan State Offensive Tackle Jake Merritt, and Bedford’s own and University of New Hampshire defensive standouts Ryan Toscano and Zack Garron.
The experience was phenomenal with the coaches and players providing detailed coaching on defensive coverage, blocking, tackling, and route running. The session kicks off the 2022 season where Bedford looks to defend its title as JHL champions.
We want to give special thanks to all the players, and coaches including Mark Merritt, father of Jake, and Head Coach Matthews, for their help in making the afternoon a great experience for our players.
Finally, thank you to Coach Santos for bringing these incredible athletes, coaches, and players together. It shows the strength of the Bedford community and JHL football!
Be on the lookout for information related to our summer program, and don’t forget to register prior to June 11th.
